I forgot to answer you, sorry. In theory, building a cross-compiler for different linux arch should about the same as for win32. However, there are a lot of win32-specific issues such that it makes it not easy to have a generic cross-compiling setup for different archs. However, I believe that by looking at the current package you may be able to adapt it to the specific setup you're looking for.
