Hello, the cmigrep package is unmaintained upstream since a long time. Last time I tried to contact the author in 2009 his mail bounced. Furthermore, the package uses the ocaml compiler libs and hence needs some code maintenance to carry it through changes in the API of the compiler that happen from time to time. At this moment, for instance, we have a FTBFS with ocaml 4.05 for this reason.
cmigrep seemed a cool thing to have in the past, but is it still worth it? It is unmaintained upstream since such a long time that I don't see reason for us to continue maintaining it inside debian only. If there is no objection one week from now I will ask ftp.d.o for removal of the package cmigrep. -Ralf.
