Package: openoffice.org-help-en Version: 1.0.1-6 Severity: normal Steps to reproduce: 0) Login as regular, non-root user 1) Click launcher on Gnome panel that runs /usr/bin/oocalc (have not tested whether bug occurs or not with other ways of starting OO) 2) Select help|contents (still occurs with other ways of getting into help, this is just the quickest way) 3) Enter a phrase, such as "bold" into the "Search term" field on the "Index" tab. Press enter or click the "Display" button.
Note: The list box below the "Search term" field remains empty the entire time. Result: Top shows soffice.bin using about 97% cpu, all redrawing of the screen in all OO windows ceases. The specific process using CPU is the top level soffice.bin process. (as viewed by ps fx, which shows the command as "/usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin private:factory/scalc") Telling WindowMaker to kill the app does not succeed in killing it, I actually have to do kill <pid> at the command prompt to stop it. (The regular TERM signal is sufficient to terminate it.)
