Subject: openoffice.org: OOo setup-bin cannot find shared libraries

Package: openoffice.org
Version: 1.0.2-2
Severity: normal

I have installed openoffice.org and dependencies onto my testing
installaion of debian, using package pinning to get the OOo debs and
dependencies from unstable.

Each time I try to run openoffice, I get an error saying that setup-bin
cannot find a shared library. But the library is there, in the same folder
as setup-bin.

It's probably something simple for a developer to fix themselves, but the
target audience of OOo is not developers.

Hi, I'm glad you managed to get OOo going.

You must have had a problem with your local installation - the links are all
there in the packages:

$ dpkg-deb -c openoffice.org_1.0.2-2_all.deb | grep libsal
lrwxrwxrwx root/root         0 2003-02-12 01:38:43 ./usr/lib/openoffice/pro=
gram/libsal.so.3 -> libsal.so.3.0.1

Again this could be a problem with missing files from your installation.
I'll close this bug since the evidence points to a problem with your
install, not the packages themselves.

Thanks,
Chris
