This is *exactly* the problem description - and workaround - for the problem that caused upstream to release version 1.0.3.1, which we already patched in 1.0.3-2. Our 1.0.3-1 packages did have this problem. Are you absolutely sure about the integrity of your install, or maybe you are running from a .tar.gz install somehow? The library that you should be using and its checksum is: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2800544 2003-04-16 18:43 /usr/lib/openoffice/program/libvcl641li.so $ md5sum /usr/lib/openoffice/program/libvcl641li.so 4416b167689c1cac259ede5466ee0747 /usr/lib/openoffice/program/libvcl641li.so Please verify that you really have this installed. You might like to try removing and reinstalling the openoffice.org-bin package. The upstream issue is here: http://www.openoffice.org/project/www/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=13031 Chris
