Package: openoffice.org Version: 1.1.0-1 Severity: normal
A database query on our client database produces two sets of fields, shiptoX and X. Sometimes a shiptoX field is blank, and in that case we want to use the X field. I insert a bunch of conditional text fields, each of which is condition: [Ledger.InvoiceQuery.shiptoX], then: Ledger.InvoiceQuery.shiptoX else: Ledger.InvoiceQuery.X When I merge a group of records, sometimes one record will have neither shiptoX nor X. In that case, that record gets the value of the corresponding field from the previous merged item. (In the case where two or three records have the same blank fields, the ghost entry gets copied forward repeatedly). Because I am already using a condition text to fill in the field, I cannot use a condition text to hide the field if it isn't there. This makes it impossible to use the mail-merge feature on sparse databases! cheers, Rich. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux lin-pc 2.4.21-4-586tsc #1 Sat Aug 2 22:22:21 EST 2003 i686 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 Versions of packages openoffice.org depends on: ii dictionaries-common 0.15.4 Common utilities for spelling dict ii openoffice.org-bin 1.1.0-1 OpenOffice.org office suite binary ii openoffice.org-debian-files 1.1.0-1+2 Debian specific parts of OpenOffic ii openoffice.org-l10n-en [openo 1.1.0-1 English (US) language package for -- no debconf information
