Package: openoffice.org Version: 1.1.1-3 Severity: normal When setting LC_MESSAGES to en_GB.UTF-8, trying to save a a oowriter document with characters like ä, ö or ü results in unicode characters in the filename on disk.
I.e. saving a file named "testäöu.sxw" (entered like that into the SaveAs Dialog) results in a file "testäöü.sxw" on disk. When removing the setting for LC_MESSAGES, saving the file "testäöü.sxw" works like expected. Also, when LC_MESSAGES ist set to en_GB.UTF-8, trying to open a file like "testäöu.sxw" on the commandline via "ooffice testäöu.sxw" results in openoffice complaining about the file "test%EF%BF%BD%EF%BF%BD%EF%BF%BD.sxw" not being existent. Other LC_* or LANG environment variables are not set. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.3 Locale: LANG=C Versions of packages openoffice.org depends on: ii dictionaries-common [openoffi 0.22.28 Common utilities for spelling dict ii openoffice.org-bin 1.1.1-3 OpenOffice.org office suite binary ii openoffice.org-debian-files 1.1.1-2+3 Debian specific parts of OpenOffic ii openoffice.org-l10n-de [openo 1.1.1-3 German language package for openof ii openoffice.org-l10n-en [openo 1.1.1-3 English (US) language package for -- no debconf information _______________________________________________________ WEB.DE Video-Mail - Sagen Sie mehr mit bewegten Bildern Informationen unter: http://freemail.web.de/?mc=021199
