system had been running a session of KDE 3.2.3 for about two weeks, during
which time OOo was routinely upgraded;
first time that I exited KDE and later restarted, an endless loop called
repeated instances of an install script, which in turn requested user's
tombstone data and then proposed to install OOo into ~/.openoffice/;
fwiw, yesterday I coincidentally compiled KDE3.3-beta2 from sources on this
box, but that version of KDE requires a modification of $PATH before loading;
there is only one version of oooqs installed: the Debian version
