Sorry do not have anything latter than etch running. Noticed that files were not locking.
I did some tests on several computers and file locking did not work either locally or under nfs.
Openoffice.org 2.4.0-4~bpo40+1 works OK. In /etc/openoffice/soffice.sh I changed FILE_LOCKING=auto to FILE_LOCKING=yes and it's OK now. John
