I had the same problem with openoffice.org 2.4 (from unstable) and now
with openoffice.org 3.0.0-3 (from Debian experimental).

Thanks, that solution worked for me. For v3.0, the files are
~/.openoffice.org/3/user/basic/{dialog,script}.xlc
