Hi, I'm running Debian GNU/Linux/GNOME 64 bits (clean install) with libreoffice 1:3.5.4 and libreoffice-pdfimport 1.0.5 didn't work for me either, whereas the Oracle PDF Import Extension 1.0.4-Linuxx86-64 from http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/pdfimport worked.
