Nice to have a repaired bug for version 3.6.3~rc1-1, but in the new Wheezy there will be LibreOffice 3.5. So I think a workarround is important for the coming years...
I use Icedove and it works fine when you do in LibreOffice "tools | options | internet | e-mail" and put there "/usr/lib/icedove/icedove".
