No, $HOME isn't. $HOME in your case is "/raid/home/user/.

I mentioned

@{libo_user_dirs} = @{HOME} /mnt /media

Wouldn't be surprised if @{HOME} (documented as "all homedirs") actually
means /home/** and thus wouldn't allow /raid/home/**.

I'd first try adding /raid/home there, obviously?
