Quick reminder from Outreachy: If you want to extend your application deadline, you can!
Cheers mdb. -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Review Outreachy applicants and application deadlines Date: Fri, 09 Mar 2018 20:48:38 -0000 From: Outreachy Organizers <organiz...@outreachy.org> To: Molly de Blanc <debl...@riseup.net> Hi Outreachy mentor, As the Outreachy application deadline approaches on March 22, 2018, mentors need to review whether their project could benefit from more promotion, an extended deadline, or closing the project to new applicants. You may receive this email for multiple projects you are mentoring for. Free Software Foundation project "Updating the Email Self-Defense Guide" 0 applicants have recorded their contributions to your project. 0 applicants have created a final application for your project. Only applicants that record both a contribution and create an application will be eligible to be selected as interns. You can encourage applicants to record contributions or create an application by sending them the following URL. (Please note that this will redirect applications to complete an eligibility check if they haven't already, so mentors shouldn't follow this link. See the next link instead.) https://www.outreachy.org/2018-may-august/communities/free-software-foundation/updating-the-email-self-defense-guide/contributions/ You can review your project's applicants and rank them here: https://www.outreachy.org/2018-may-august/communities/free-software-foundation/updating-the-email-self-defense-guide/applicants/ Application Deadlines --------------------- Your project is currently marked as having a regular application deadline of March 22, 2018. You can either keep the application deadline to be aligned with the application period deadline (March 22, 2018), or you can extend the deadline by one week (March 29, 2018). Your project may benefit from extending the deadline to March 29, 2018. Your project is currrent marked as being open to new applicants. When a project is closed to new applicants, this moves your project listing to the end of the project selection and community projects pages. Applicants will still be allowed to record contributions and create applications for your project. Your project is NOT marked as needing more applicants. Marking a project as needing more applicants moves the project up in the community project list, and adds a colored heading to the listing. If you aren't working with many applicants, it can help to mark your project as needing more applicants. You can edit your project deadlines or whether your project is marked as needing more applicants here: https://www.outreachy.org/communities/cfp/free-software-foundation/submit-project/updating-the-email-self-defense-guide/ If you have any questions, please contact your community coordinator Molly de Blanc <debl...@riseup.net>. You can always contact the Outreachy organizers <organiz...@outreachy.org> for help.
