Hi, GSoC has now officially ended as of September 3 [1]. This year, we had a total of 7 projects [2] with a mix of medium and large projects. All contributors have successfully passed their final evaluations and their final report can be seen at the GSoC page [3]. You (contributors) could as well consider to link your report/blogs for this GSoC to outreach team gitlab page [4]. I hope you all had a great experience, and I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your valuable contributions!
I'd also like to take a chance to thank the mentors for spending their valuable time in mentoring newcomers as a part of GSoC'24 - it wouldn't have been possible without you to make the program a success. I’m excited to share that the following mentors will be representing Debian at the GSoC summit: 1. Christian Kastner 2. Cordell Bloor These were the only mentors who expressed interest in attending the summit. In recognition of GSoC's 20th anniversary and Debian’s long-standing participation, Google has generously allowed us an additional delegate this year (and hence 2 delegates). Once again, thank you to all the mentors and students for your involvement. If you have any feedback for us as organization administrators, please send it to the mailing list or our private alias at [email protected] [1]: https://developers.google.com/open-source/gsoc/timeline#september_3 [2]: https://bits.debian.org/2024/05/welcome-gsoc2024-contributors.html [3]: https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/programs/2024/organizations/debian [4]: https://outreach-team.pages.debian.net/ Thank You, Nilesh For the Debian Outreach Team
