Solved (Was: Scratching my head over Makefile.PL)

Ok, I figured it out. It was actually debian/rules' "fault". 

I am following Rafael's template, and the default "config=.." statement does
not re-define INSTALLSCRIPT. Adding INSTALLSCRIPT=$(TEMP)/usr/bin did the
trick.
