(just butting in) I bet the answer is "yes" becuase when you build -Dusethreads, the #ifdef's in the libperl code cause new slots to be added to some structs, and thus the resulting libperl is not binary compatible with one built without -Dusethreads. -- As any limb well and duly exercised, grows stronger, the nerves of the body are corroborated thereby. --I.
