Hi all, This is as a followup to a discussion we had on Alioth[1]. Nomeata wanted to add a file in /usr/share/doc/<pkg> pointing users at either Alioth, the mailing list or the BTS depending on the nature of what they need from the team.
I would prefer something not that intrusive. I think repeating a file over and over in all of our modules (specially if we aim at handling hundreds of modules as a team) is not nice - That's the reason we have /usr/share/common-licenses. I suggested adding this note in /usr/share/doc/perl/, but Nomeata is right in pointing that it should be in each of the packages. He suggests adding the note as a line or two in debian/copyright - I like the idea. Before doing a mass-change of every module in our repository, I wanted to check with you if anybody oposes.
