No extensive testing, but it seems fine. The shared lib works with a binary I previously built against my own libperl. As I noted that the binary had xs_apiversion=5.005, I tested the Digest::MD5 package (as an arbitrarily chosen XS module built against 5.005) with the new perl. Requires -I/usr/lib/perl5/5.005/i386-linux, but seems to work correctly. Adding that path to @INC will make the 5.005 -> 5.6 transition much smoother for those running woody.
