I submitted this bug some time ago, as a reminder. Now that slink is released, I think it's time to make it policy.
Policy currently says: Packages distributed under the UCB BSD license, the Artistic license, the GNU GPL, and the GNU LGPL should refer to the files /usr/doc/copyright/BSD, /usr/doc/copyright/Artistic, /usr/doc/copyright/GPL, and /usr/doc/copyright/LGPL. I propose to change this to: Packages distributed under the UCB BSD license, the Artistic license, the GNU GPL, and the GNU LGPL should refer to the files /usr/share/common-licenses/BSD, /usr/share/common-licenses/Artistic, /usr/share/common-licenses/GPL, and /usr/share/common-licenses/LGPL. I'm now looking for seconds for this proposal. I think this was already seconded by Marcus, so I would just need a second second :-) If there is another second, I set a discussion period of one week for this (for a minor issue like this I think it should be enough). Thanks. -- "673c5e032a9fd56d652c3d126b2640b3" (a truly random sig)
