Hi,

>From the description "arch dep goes in /usr/lib/<pkg>/examples
<emphasize> with symlink to /usr/doc/<pkg>/examples </emphasize>",
I cannot visualize the tree. For one, how would one distinguish
arch-indep stuff from the arch-specific?

                   /
                   |
                  usr
                   |
           ------------------
           | |
          lib doc
           | |
       <package> <package>
           | |
       examples examples
  __ __
  | 7 ("examples" off of "lib/<package>"
  | \ ^ | is symlink)
  L_ \___________/ __|

             === OR ===

  __ __
  | 7 ("examples" off of "doc/<package>"
  | ^ / | is symlink)
  L_ \___________/ __|

Is this what you are suggesting? or more like this:

                   /
                   |
                  usr
                   |
           ------------------
           | |
          lib doc
           | |
       <package> <package>
           | |
       examples examples
           ^ |
           | arch
           | . . . -------|------- . . .
           | i386 <--- symlink
           ^ /
            \____________/

Or ?
