If anything, this needs to be restricted to a package in "experiemental", not in any of the main archives. That way there is no chance of some saying "well the option was there, I didn't know we didn't actually support it yet, so I used it". Adding that feature is no problem as long as it isn't in the mainline. I think we may see some regular uploads to expieremental for dpkg here in the near future anyway. Ben
