Presumably, if the oft-requested feature to "take an interest in particular bugs or packages" in debbugs is implemented, all the upstream would have to do is "take an interest". I don't know if there's any easy way to monitor whether the bugs list for a particular package has changed at the moment, since the canonical access method is through CGI and I don't know if stuff like Netmind plays nicely with that. Ideally, some sort of bug management tool would be nice. reportbug (more properly, the query module) should probably include something that will automate producing mails to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and forwarding bugs upstream (and also *marking* them as forwarded in the BTS); obviously, this behavior should not be the default. But something like: querybts --manage reportbug would be nice.
