Hello, while opening the debian-policy wishlist bug [1] about creating a vim-python3 package, I've noticed that the existing `vim-python` package is not in the list of virtual packages maintained at [2]. This was triggered by the desire to solve python-neovim bug #872942 [3]. This wishlist bug is merely to update the list at [1], as several packages already provide the `vim-python` virtual package. I propose the following description: Miscellaneous - ------------- vim-python a compatible vim editor that can run python 2.x addons Kind regards, [1]: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=881633 [2]: https://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/virtual-package-names- list.txt [3]: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=872942 - -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing-debug APT policy: (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.13.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages debian-policy depends on: ii libjs-sphinxdoc 1.6.5-2 debian-policy recommends no packages.
