So I got:
Failed to fetch
http://sluglug.ucsc.edu/debian/dists/testing/main/source/Release Could not
connect to sluglug.ucsc.edu:80 (128.114.59.17), connection timed out
so I added an additional host to /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://sluglug.ucsc.edu/debian/ testing main
deb-src http://sluglug.ucsc.edu/debian/ testing main
deb http://linux.csua.berkeley.edu/debian/ testing main
deb-src http://linux.csua.berkeley.edu/debian/ testing main
and tried again, but apt never tried the second host when the
first failed. Why not?
