I came accross your answer on lists.debian.org. about eject on Debian 3.0.
I am having the same problem. I have honestly tried everything written on this forum but nothing will work. I am sure your "kb:" change can be a good solution but I am quite new to Linux. Would you be kind enough to tell me exactly what I should write down in the inittab file.
