No they wouldn't been any different. However, you may need to add the nv driver kernel module. I normally install modconf so I can see what modules are available. Run 'modconf' and add the nv driver.

I reinstalled without X. Nvidia drivers for linux on ppc seem to be difficult to find. I am going to keep Debian on as a triple boot with os9 and "Tiger" so that I can tinker with Postgresql on Debian.
