I don't work on the Alsa trees, I work directly on linus mainstream. G5 analog support is in 2.6.12-rc4. Proper full digital support etc... will only be available after I (or some other volunteer) rework the driver completely as it can't really handle the dual codec setup of the G5 properly in it's current incarnation.
