hello, ... i have been playing a bit more with the tarball, i was able to use it with chroot.
it seems to work fine, but i cannot install packages with dpkg. it reports lots of 'cannot chown to uid 0 gid 0, function not implemented', i suppose this is more of the chown/lchown stuff. funny when i use tar alone, it reports the same errors, but is able to uncompress the archive anyway. ok i will try to get a chown/lchown corrected kernel.
