The package builds fine now on the 7500 that I've got access to. Once I fold the changes back into the main package, I'll upload a new revision for everyone.
Are the powerpc packages being autobuilt? If so, then I'll just let the autobuilder handle generating the binary package. Otherwise, I'll figure out how to add my binary to the .changes file... (For those interested, I fixed the ppc.ldscript by removing it from the powerpc.h file and putting a suitable gcc wrapper in debian/bin/gcc/.
