I filled bug report sometime ago. It's problem with some tool that helps to
build debian packages (i don't recall the name ATM). Fix is quite easy:
cd /var/lib/dpkg/info
vi +12 xcontrib.postinst
and put a space between ''
after that You can dpkg --configure xcontrib
