Robert, Your patch does the trick! I've forwarded it to the bug I filed against w3m (#57121) so that anyone checking will see the solution. The bug against libgc4 remains open, however -- is there any additional information that anyone else has that would help the maintainer resolve the problem on PPC? If so, please mail it to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (or submit your own bug!).
