your yaboot.conf must be wrong then, make sure you have a line: boot=/dev/hda5 where /dev/hda5 is your bootstrap partition (i think it is from your earlier message) also you only need to run mkofboot once, after that run ybin (mkofboot erases the partition then installs, ybin just installs) did it give you any errors? -- Ethan Benson http://www.alaska.net/~erbenson/
