Hi! I'm trying to install Debian 2.2 on my new iBook (the blue one, with Firewire. I don't know how I should call it). I tried to follow most of Hadess' advices.
Now I want to compile a 2.4.0 kernel to be able to use video acceleration, pmu and other useful stuff. When I boot with my newly compiled kernel, I got the error: reuest_module[block-major-3]: Root fs not mounted VFS: Cannot aper roor device hda13 I guess it's a badly configured option, but since it's my first experience compiling kernel, I don't know what it could be. Even if I'm not able to boot, I tryed to replace the novideo option in my yaboot.conf to video=aty128fb:cmode:10:depth:8: but then I get a flickering screen almost unreadable and duplicated in two columns (if you can figure out what I mean). What am I missing?
