No, I haven't seen anything about this on the list, and I can't find anything in the mailing list archives either.
I have a G4 AGP Powermac; I downloaded the first binary powerpc image, and the MD5 checksum matches; I burned it to disk with Toast with no errors reported. When I boot off this CD, I get a gray screen for a long time; I can hear the DVD chug a bit at the beginning, then nothing. After a while, the screen flashes black for an instant, then white, then my monitor goes black and says "Frequency over range". On the 2.2r2 disks, there was a yaboot prompt where I could tell it "video=ofonly"; I think that may be that black flash on this sequence. How the hell do I boot off this thing? Any ideas, or do I have to use this CD for a coaster and go back to 2.2r2 again? Melissa Reid
