Heh, that's a possibility, indeed :-), but I was implicitly
thinking of running only Linux on my future iBook, whenever I
happen to have the money for it. :-)
OTOH, playing DVDs with Linux is not yet nice even with a
powerful (x86) machine (although it is getting better fast and
my hopes are high).
The 2 movies that I have are displayed with nasty interlaced
lines. The latest Xine (0.9.2) can play them with a software
deinterlacer, but when it is on, the subtitles get distorted
and hard to read. Videolan only plays with the images
interlaced. :-(
So, I guess that the solution would be to be a bit more
pragmatic right now and play DVDs with MacOS 9/X, while using
the rest being done with Linux.
That is, assuming I get that sweet iBook, of couse. :-)
