I see the same behaviour with my iBook. So, I guess this is
ok. :-)
The funny thing is that my Duron 600 with a Matrox G400 and X
4.1 says that direct rendering is enabled, but I get only 100
fps with glxgears, but the output indeed seems faster.
OTOH, both glxinfo and glxgears complain that the mesa library
includes the glide driver, but MESA_GLX_FX is undefined (on my
x86).
