I play high bitrates DivX without any problem with 30% of the CPU. The battery lasts more than 3 hours without any effort in this configuration. mplayer can play DVD without any visible problem (the sound seems not to be downsample, but this is hard to notice, except on the music). I don't know anything about battery usage in this configuration.
