I noticed that too. It's not AA on my iBook2, though; none of my GTK2 applications caused any trouble. When I loaded galeon, I got a SIG11. This was happening because I was letting the X server itself access my TrueType fonts. I turned on xfs and told the X server to get its fonts there, and everything works fine. Just my two cents.
