Trying to get openoffice.org 1.0.1-5.6rc to run of my Debian woody PowerPC. Found the link to some PPC debs at http://people.debian.org/~dwhendon/oo/
However, I guess there are some backported packages from sid needed for it run on woody, namely packages containing the required lbic6, libgcc, and libstdc++. I found the backported packages for the i386 architecture, but haven't found any for PPC. Do they exist? If so, where are they? If not, how dangerous would it be to get them out of sid -- the prospect of destablizing my system just to run openoffice.org is not one I'm looking forward to? -- wcrowshaw
