ppc division by zero weirdness

Hi,

I noticed several times while compiling on a PC a 
program perfectly running on my ibook that it 
would segfault because of a division by zero.

It seems to me that the ppc doesn't trigger an 
error when a division by zero while x86 does. Can 
anyone comment on this - what is going on when I 
divide by zero on my ppc ?
