Xinerama is not a package but an Xserver extension. Search the archive
from this list, there are some examples how to set up your x-server to
use xinerama.

As someone already mentioned, the package eject provides a command-line
solution.
Under gnome acme is a nice way to bind eject to the appropriate key.
