Newbie: esound, mozilla and sockets

Hi all,

I'm using the 'Tasks/End-user/desktop environment' section of aptitude
and installed succesfully gnome/sawfish/mozilla/gdm on my 
PowerMac8600-Woody/stable-2.4.18.

Next I installed esound and managed to get sounds, also because I 
installed the module 'dmasound_pmac'.

But now, when I try to start Mozilla, it won't startup anymore.

In /var/log/kern.log I found a line:
ds: no socket drivers loaded!

Maybe that's got something to do with the problem?

Any help appreciated.
