Hi all,
I had my PBG4 12" with Xmodmap configured just the way I wanted it and
since a few weeks it doesn't work anymore. Konsole and Gnome Terminal
don't react to xmodmap at all, only xterm is (independend of running
xmodmap) able to generate some special characters like ����� when I
press the [Apple Meta] and some keys. My mode switch and multi key
simply cannot be activated via xmodmap anymore.
Lately there have been a lot of postings on keyboard mappings. My
question is, what is the best strategy to solve this problem. Where
should I start because the emails on this subject are just too many to
digest all.
In short: What is overriding Xmodmap and how can I still configure my
multi and mode switch keys?
