Straight kernel.org kernel :-) > this, look into /var/log/dmesg (and please compare the tdfx output with a > 2.4 kernel log to see if the 2.6 driver misdetects something). Then, I don't actually use 2.4, I've skipped a generation from 2.2 to 2.6. I had a problem with oopses on 2.4 that I never figured out. > compare the 2.4 and 2.6 versions of tdfxfb.c. I clicked on the BootX "no video driver" check box...and I saw the little penguin, but nothing else...the stripes went away, and I could tell that my monitor was getting video input (the little light on my monitor was green instead of amber). So, that's progress!
