Make sure you have CONFIG_XMON set, then use apple-power yes, you'll get to a "mon>" prompt. Additionally, if you have loaded the System.map along with the kernel (option sysmap=<path> in yaboot), you'll have useful symbols in xmon. The idea is to try to break into xmon once the box is hung, and get a backtrace of what's going on. Ben.
