I had this problem since i ve decided to use alsa....You con try to play with Buffer time and period time in the advanced settings of the alsa driver configuration (Preferences/Audio I/O plugins...)
I Currently have Buffer time=800 ms and Period Time 100ms And it works....
Don t ask me why but it works (at least for me) Hope I could Help topper
