Installing Debian 3.0r2 on a drive connected to a Adaptec 39160 SCSI Card?

Is it possible?  I tried to install Debian Linux 3.0r2 on my G4 400 
Sawtooth and the installer only gave /dev/hda and /dev/hdb as options 
for hard drive partitioning.  I have a 17GB SCSI hard drive connected 
to an Adaptec 39160 SCSI Card and would like to use it for my Linux 
install.  How can I go about this?
