Thanks for the tip' But i already have that enabled, and it seems like my powerbook (kernel or pcmcia-cs) does not recognize the adapter the way my x86-laptop did.. I'm just another of those users, have no actual knowledge of the kernel or the pcmcia-cs.
i'll try looking around a bit on my x86-box to see how i've got it configured there. /david -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Frn: Klaus Ita [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Skickat: den 24 maj 2004 07:38 Till: 'ppc' mne: Re: SV: Pcmcia Compact-Flash adapter Hi David! in the kernel, you have to check that you want to support CONFIG_MSDOS_PARTITION=y and then it will work? ... at least if you see the device but can't mount it. regs, klaus * David 'fenrus' Syk <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [2004-05-23 20:18: > From: David 'fenrus' Syk <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: SV: Pcmcia Compact-Flash adapter > To: 'ppc' <[email protected]> > Organization: brommalan > X-Rc-Virus: 2004-05-14_01 > X-Rc-Spam: 2004-05-23_01 > Resent-From: [email protected] > > Just to make it a little more clear, i'll attatch a cleaned > dmesg-output (forgot to clean that one up) > > I removed some lines that were added when i added/removed my > usb-memory and my digital-camera (with the usb) to make it less confusing. > > glad for all the help i could get > > /David 'fenrus' Syk > > (and the dmesg-output is what appears when adding/removing the > pcmcia-adapter a couple of times) > > > -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- > Fr?n: David 'fenrus' Syk [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Skickat: den 23 maj 2004 17:20 > Till: 'ppc' > ?mne: Pcmcia Compact-Flash adapter > > Hello > > My pcmcia/CF adapter worked as a charm in my x86-box with pcmcia-cs. i > wonder if someone has any idea how to get it working in linux/ppc on > my powerbook g3 (pismo) 500mhz. > > Attatching a dmesg output. > > The pcmcia-slot works for some cards (a prism2 wlan-card for example), > but i dont seem to get it working with the PCMCIA-CF adapter.. > > > Best Regards > David 'fenrus' Syk > > > ______________________________________________________________________ > This email has been scanned by the MessageLabs Email Security System. > For more information please visit http://www.messagelabs.com/email > ______________________________________________________________________ > > ______________________________________________________________________ > This email has been scanned by the MessageLabs Email Security System. > For more information please visit http://www.messagelabs.com/email > ______________________________________________________________________ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
