It is in etch or sid, if you are running sarge either upgrade or take the udev package from : http://people.debian.org/~luther/kernel, which are sarge backports built inside sarge, and install the sid/etch kernel. Should work fine. I was not able to build the powerpc64 image inside the sarge backport, as i did not backport the biarch toolchain there.
